Dream Weddings is a hit in the Susquehanna Valley!

March 24, 2011

The February 2011 Nielsen survey released this week reports Dream Weddings, the new reality TV program on WGAL, is the most watched program in its time period! Dream Weddings, airing at 12-12:30pm on Sundays, delivered a 2 rating for women age18-34 and a 1.2 rating for women 25-49 years old.

Dream Weddings is a local program which follows couples during the final stages of their wedding planning right up through their big day. Each Dream Weddings episode highlights one couple’s unique story, their creative wedding ideas and the professionals from the region who make their wedding dreams a reality. The program is hosted by Martine Cajas a wedding designer and owner of House of Clarendon.

Martine’s passion for perfect weddings is contagious! Upon hearing of the show’s rating success he commented, “I’m thrilled, of course, that viewers are tuning in, but not surprised. Everywhere I go, people tell me how glad they are that they can see what’s possible, right here in Central Pennsylvania! Just wait till they see the amazing weddings we’ll showcase during our summer season. We are so excited.”

In the premiere season, one bride won a $1,500 wedding dress from In White Bridal Boutique in Lancaster. Martine tells us that there will be more surprises for Central PA brides coming soon! Dream Weddings is on hiatus until June 19th, when it will return with a whole new line up of weddings.

Local couples who would like to be featured on Dream Weddings can register at DreamWeddingsPA.com, where they can also get wedding tips, and connect with local professionals.
Many thanks to four local companies whose support made Dream Weddings a reality: Stauffer’s of Kissel Hill, Boscov’s, Belco Community Credit Union and La Porte Jewelers.
